~AVA~'s Beings
Here be the few critters I will be willing to use, aside from those made up on the spot that I'm sure we'll all like.
Note:: 99% of the artwork I might show is NOT going to be mine. I cannot draw the critters in my head, nor will I try. You are warned. lol

Re: ~AVA~'s Beings
Raina Shay Terachi <---- CLICKY FOR PICKY! :p
This is Raina. In normal circumstances, she's a Fire Dancer, meaning she makes and manipulates fire. She's generally 17, and an utter sweetheart. She has a Fire Sprite companion (not pictured here) that follows her around and is a bit of a smart ass. Think Calcifer with a dirtier mind.
Other versions of her I wouldn't mind playing is a young-old Vampire child or a Fay/Elf of some kind.

This is Drake. Formally, Drakora DeMarco Sualtinne. But really, just Drake will do. He's 23-25 years old in human time, but closer to a few hundred in Draconic years. The creature wrapped around his arm is his twin brother, Orochi (or Oro, if you're friends). Drake makes his living as he moves about the globe by performing acrobatics in carnivals and circuses, winning hearts and bed warmers along the way. He'll sleep with anyone as long as they're beautiful.
They have a long, sordid backstory, but I will not bother you with it here.

For lack of a better name, let's call this one J.J.
She's the one that's been knocking around in my head since college, and this image was drawn by the most awesome Ryu. I hope you don't mind me posting her like this, dear. =^__^=
I'm sure I can kick her around into doing something useful now and again. lol She's usually a badass and LOVES that hammer of hers.

Avadedra was born on Corellia to a mother who supported the Rebellion and a father who worked for the Empire. They lived oddly, but happily, for the first six or seven years of Ava's life, but when it began to become apparent that the girl was Force sensitive, her father began to panic. There were many fights in their home until one night, when her father was fed up with trying to convince his wife to conceal their daughter's abilities, he left them. Her mother, Althana, did her best to raise Avadedra, to teach her the limited knowledge she had of the Force. When the Rebellion began to grow, Althana took Avadedra and joined it.
Since her mother was an adept mechanic, Althana was extremely useful in the hangar bays of the many ships of the fleet, or on the planets that they traveled between. Avadedra, on the other hand, was a surly child, getting into mischief out of sheer boredom. Still, Althana did her best and Avadedra still managed to find one or two ways to be useful.
When word of the destruction of the first Death Star reached the base where Ava and her mother were stationed, she couldn't understand why her mother began to cry. It took three days before Althana would dry her eyes enough to explain it; her father had been aboard the space station. All of the elation that had swept Ava along was deflated, gone. Even though her father had left her, abandoned her, Avadedra had still loved the man. Despite being on opposite sides of the battle line, her mother had, too. Avadedra began to find her calm, burying the pain of losing her father, again, deep in her heart.
The battle at Hoth landed Avadedra another hard blow; during their escape to the ships, part of the corridor had collapsed under an explosion. Althana had been half buried in the rubble. Knowing that she wasn't going to make it, even if they did free her, she begged the others to take her daughter and run. Avadedra fought and screamed as she was dragged away from her mother, begging to be allowed to stay with her, but they shoved her onto a ship and fled Hoth. Althana, unknown to Avadedra, was finished off by a Storm Trooper as they swept the base in the wake of the battle. After that, Avadedra forgot all of the calm and peaceful ways her mother had been trying to teach her. She put away all thoughts of the Force and the balance she needed to maintain as a sensitive. Instead, she put the other lessons to use and took over her mother's job as a mechanic aboard the battle ships. She grew distant and surlier, but few would say anything if she was keeping busy and doing her part. For the most part, she avoided putting herself in place to be seen by most in the highest authority, sure that they would call her a kid and have her shipped off to one of the planets that the members of the Rebellion took refuge on.
She knew of the Princess and the Jedi and all of their exploits, of course, but had never seen any of them in person. She did her job, and stayed in hiding most of the time.
During the battle of the second Death Star, Avadedra had been sent up to the Rebel command ship to work in the hangars there. The battle was gruesome and terrifying, and she saw many of her fellows fall beneath the barage of fire that hammered the ship, causing explosions in the hangars and corridors. Her panic took hold and she began to run, trying to find somewhere safe to hide. An explosion rocked the ship, the impact buckling the walls. On her left, a bulkhead panel exploded, bathing her in sparks and burning wiring. A piece of the ship pierced her body just beneath her left shoulder blade. Screaming in pain, she fell to the floor and lost consciousness.
When she finally came to, the battle was over and the Sanctuary Moon below, Endor, was alive with celebration. Somehow, although she stopped and blacked out often, Avadedra managed to find a shuttle that was leaving the ship and made her way to the surface below. Crippling pain and blood loss worked on her head, causing delusions and making it hard to tell who or what was a danger to her. Wandering into the forest, she thought that she might die and was happy for it. Instead, she was found, disarmed of the blaster pistol she had managed to find, and taken to the medical frigate to be tended to.
There, she truly nearly did do herself in when she threw a fit over having the medical driod touch her. Fearing for her safety, the being that had saved her called for a humanoid doctor and she finally slipped away as they repaired her body. For days she lay in the bacta, the doctor and droid both concurring that the damage in her left should could not be completely fixed, and in that time, she was visited by the spirit of a young Anakin Skywalker. He warned her that her heart was too heavy, too full of grief and pain. He told her that those things had been what led him to the Dark Side, and into the visage of Darth Vader. Anakin explained that she needed to heed to the teachings of the Jedi Master that had saved her on the forest moon, that he would lead her into a destiny of goodness. That she could help Luke and others like him into restoring the faith that the galaxy had once had in the Jedi Order. Upon waking, she explained her dream to her new teacher, a Cathar by the name of Kham Thul.
Kham took her in and began trying to teach her about the Force and about what being a Jedi meant. She tried to listen, to accept, but she was too full of questions, too busy in her mind to focus very well for too long. But he did his best, and at times seemed to be getting through to her. He took her on missions, one in which she met Luke Skywalker (and developed a girly crush), and decided to try harder to become a good Padawan learner.
But one mission, where her Master took her into the Endor forest to test her survival skills, went very, very wrong. While there, lost alone and afraid, she was visited by the spirit of the Sith Master, Exar Kun. His spirit lay heavily in her mind after that, whispering underneath the lessons her Master taught her. Slowly, she grew more angry and darker until, in her early 20's, she snapped and attacked Kham Thul. The fight was brutal, her forever weakened left arm let her down and she lost it completely. Defeated, aware that Kham Thul will not kill her, she fled.
After a time, she found someone to replace her arm with a full cybernetic system, which she came to despise based on her hatred of droids. But she learned to live with it, switching use of her blue Jedi Padawan saber into that hand. In time, she created another blade. crimson and burning, powerful for her strong, working right arm. Over the next handful of years, Avadedra became Darth Lonan, one of the most notorious and feared Sith Masters among the stars. She struck down her enemies without remorse, destroying entire cities. She drew a following of n'er-do-wells, outlaws, and smugglers who sold her their secrets and skills willingly. All along, she knew her former Master was trying to find her, but she kept herself ahead of him at all times.
In her mid-30's, Kham Thul finally found his old student, facing her down again, but her anger and control over the Dark Side had made her stronger and nearly impossible for even himself to beat. At a stalemate, he goaded her into breaking her facade, forcing her to reach deep and find the core of her anger and pain. It took time, but she finally stopped fighting him, although she vanished again for a while. Darth Lonan seemed to have disappeared.
Another year and she found herself at Luke Skywalker's new Jedi academy, asking her old teacher for his forgiveness. Luke and Kham tested her over and over, poking and prodding at every weakness until they were convinced that she had returned from the Dark Side. There was a seed of doubt in her heart, but Avadedra resolved to overcome it, even taking on a pair of twins as Padawan learners.
But that, as they say, is another story for another time.
